Fans are in rock and roll with the second single from the upcoming action thriller Leo, starring Thalapathy Vijay. The song, titled “Badass”, is a high-octane number that showcases the swag and style of Leo, the king of the underworld. The song was released on Thursday evening, surprising the fans who were eagerly waiting for the next update from the film.

The song was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has teamed up with Vijay for the fourth time after Kaththi, Theri, and Master. The lyrics were penned by Vishnu Edavan, who has also written the first single, “Naa Ready”. Taking to X, the makers wrote by dropping the song, “Pala Rajakala paathachu da… Ivan kaththi romba koru achu da… Badass unleashed-u ma”. The song is sung by Anirudh himself.

The lyrical video also has a visual treat for the fans, as it features glimpses of the film’s scenes and characters. The video features Vijay in his stylish avatar, sporting a beard and sunglasses the song also get a glimpse of the film’s antagonist, Sanjay Dutt, who looks menacing and powerful. The song also hints at the film’s theme of a chocolate factory, which was revealed in the title teaser earlier.

The song has already crossed 1 million views on YouTube in less than 1 hour. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is expected to be released on 19th October this year. The film also stars Arjun, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, and Sandy in pivotal roles.
