In a frenzy of excitement and fervour, Thalapathy Vijay's ardent fans stormed Chennai's Rohini Silverscreens yesterday during the much-anticipated trailer debut of 'Leo', leaving the theatre in a state of disarray. The event, which took place on October 5, turned chaotic as eager fans, who were granted free entry, entered the premises by knocking down the theatre doors.
The atmosphere inside the theatre soon turned overwhelming, leading to a fan fainting amidst the crowd due to the sheer enthusiasm of the moment. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, 'Leo' features Thalapathy Vijay in the titular role. The film has already captured the audience's attention with its gripping trailer, setting high expectations for its release, as it released at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday.
The chaos ensued after the screening, as the management discovered several chairs broken by the overexcited fans, illustrating the unruly behaviour displayed during the event. The incident left Rohini Theater in dismay, as the aftermath of the celebrations included damaged seats and a dishevelled environment. The management of the theatre is yet to respond to this unexpected chaotic turn from the fans.
The fervent anticipation for 'Leo' was evident as thousands and more of Thalapathy Vijay's fans gathered outside Rohini Silver screens, eagerly awaiting the screening of the trailer. When the gates finally opened, the fans rushed inside, creating a scene of pandemonium that resulted in unfortunate damage to the theatre property.
In addition to the star-studded cast, the film boasts an impressive lineup of supporting actors, including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin, and Priya Anand. Produced by SS Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy, 'Leo' features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj.
The incident is a stark reminder of the immense passion and fervour that Thalapathy Vijay's fans harbour for his movies. One cannot ignore the anticipation and anxiety surrounding the reaction of fans to the screening of the film 'Leo' on 19th October, as the trailer celebrations turned chaotic.
