The latest song from the upcoming movie Naa Ready has stirred up controversy for its alleged glorification of alcohol and tobacco consumption. The song, which features the lead actor Vijay has catchy lyrics and visuals that show the actor along with more than 100 dancers vibing for an alcohol thematic song. However, not everyone is happy with the song’s message and style.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has reportedly ordered the makers of the song to make some changes before releasing it to the public. According to an image that is circulating on social media, the CBFC has replaced three lines in the song that mention alcohol and tobacco brands and has also reduced the duration of smoking shots in the video. The image shows the censored details of the Naa Ready lyrical song, which was released on June, on the occasion of Vijay's birthday.
It has been reported that the modifications made to the song are only relevant to the song itself, and not to the movie. According to these sources, the original version of the song will be used in the film, which is scheduled to be released on October 2nd. The sources also say that the CBFC has given a U/A certificate to the movie, which means that it is suitable for viewers above 12 years of age with parental guidance.
'Leo' is expected to be a grand spectacle that will showcase Vijay's skills as a gangster with alter ego, and an action hero. The film also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in important roles. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously collaborated with Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay in 'Master'.
'Leo' is slated to release on October 19th 2023, and the fans are eagerly waiting for the teaser and the trailer of the film. Leo marks the second collaboration of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after their blockbuster Master. The film is being made on a budget of Rs 250-300 crore and is being planned as a pan-Indian release in multiple languages.
