Thalapathy Vijay’s fans are in for a treat as his upcoming film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has set a new benchmark in the UK box office. The film, which is distributed by Ahimsa Entertainment, has received an overwhelming response from the audience, who have booked more than 10,000 tickets in a single day, 42 days before its worldwide release.

This is a remarkable feat for a Tamil film, as the previous record holder was Vaarisu, another Vijay starrer, which sold around 2,000 tickets in the first 24 hours of its bookings in January last year. Leo is said to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which also includes films like Kaithi and Vikram.

The film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan. The film is slated for a grand release on October 19, 2023. The makers have planned a grand release across the globe, with more than 4,000 screens. The buzz around Leo has been increasing day by day, as the fans are eagerly waiting to see Vijay in a new avatar.

The film will also have some stunning action sequences choreographed by Anbariv and Dhilip Subbarayan. The film shot in various locations across India, including Kashmir, and the team is currently in post production stage.

The film boasts an incredible ensemble cast that includes Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. According to the reports the second part is expected to go on floors in 2025 and might be produced by none other than Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s RKFI banner.
