Leo: The Lokesh Kanagaraj - Vijay's actioner to have a sequel! Here's the whopping update for the fans

The unexpected and biggest surprise for the fans, is Vijay’s upcoming movie Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is not just a single film, but a two-part saga.  Yes, you heard it right. The makers of Leo have reportedly planned to release the film in two parts, with the first part ending with a cliffhanger that will tease the second part.

According to the reports from Vikatan magazine, The second part is expected to go on floors in 2025 and might be produced by none other than Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s RKFI banner. Kamal Haasan himself might also join the star-studded cast of Leo, which includes Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Arjun Sarja, and many more.

After finishing Thalaivar 171 with Rajinikanth, Karthi's 'Khaithi 2', where Vijay completes, Thalapathy68 with  Venkat Prabhu, and in the direction of 'Jilla' Nesan. Reports say that the shooting of the second part of 'Leo' may follow this. Interesting to note that this will be the first time, Vijay to do a sequel in his career.

Leo is one of the most anticipated films of 2023, as it marks the collaboration of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj, who have both delivered blockbuster hits in their respective genres. Leo is said to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which also includes films like Kaithi and Vikram. The film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan. The film is slated for a grand release on October 19, 2023, coinciding with Diwali.
