The much-awaited movie Leo, starring Vijay, is set to release on October 19. The film has generated a huge buzz among fans and the industry, and the movie is expected to break all the box office records and create history, witnessing pre-booking sales in all over countries, and setting a great benchmark.
However, the fans who were eagerly waiting to catch the first-day show of Leo at 4 AM have been left disappointed by the Madras High Court. The court has rejected the plea of the production house Seven Screen Studio, which had sought permission to screen the movie at 4 AM and also to increase the number of shows from 9 AM to 7 AM from October 19 to October 24.
The plea was filed yesterday by the producer’s side, but it was adjourned today by Judge Anita Sumanth. Today, she re-examined the plea and delivered her verdict. She said that the court could not order the government to allow 4 AM shows for Leo, as it was a policy decision.
She also directed the film production company to petition the Tamil Nadu government for permission to start the screening at 7 AM instead of 9 AM and ordered the government to consider it. This judgement has come as a huge blow to the fans and the movie team, who were hoping to celebrate Leo as a grand festival before the day began. The fans have expressed their disappointment on social media, as neighbouring state fans get a 4 a.m. show before the TN does.
