'We are blessed with...': Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan became parents! Here are the deets

Director Vignesh Shivan announced on Sunday and he and his wife Nayanthara have become parents as they welcomed their twin baby boys. The star couple has been flooded with wishes from a sea of fans as they shared the first pictures on social media. A league of celebrities has also been wishing the couple on becoming parents. 

On Sunday, Vignesh Shivan took to social media and wrote, "Nayan & Me have become Amma & Appa. We are blessed with twin baby boys. All our prayers, our ancestors' blessings combined with all the good manifestations made, have come together in the form of two blessed babies for us. Need all your blessings for our Uyir (life) and Ulagam (world)." In another Instagram post, Vignesh Shivan wrote, "I love you two and I love you three." 

On June 9 this year, the lovely couple exchanged vows as they got married in a lavish ceremony that was held at Mahabalipuram, Chennai. Their wedding ceremony was graced by several celebrities including Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Boney Kapoor, Mani Ratnam, Atlee, Vijay Sethupathi, Chiranjeevi, Suriya, and Karthi. Their wedding has been made as a documentary 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale' which will be released by Netflix. 

On Sunday, Vignesh Shivan posted several adorable pictures of them and the couple were seen holding the feet of the twin babies. Commenting on Vignesh Shivan's post, actress Kajal Agarwal wrote, "Huge congratulations Nayan and Wiki!! Welcome to the parent club- definitely the best phase of life. Lots of love and blessings to Uyir and Ulagam." 

On the other hand, social media have been filled with comments from fans over no information about Nayanthara's pregnancy. It has been reported that the couple has welcomed their babies through surrogacy. However, neither Vignesh Shivan nor Nayanthara have made an official statement.

On the work front, Nayanthara was last seen on silver screen in the recently released movie 'GodFather' starred by Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan and helmed by Mohan Raja. She is also busy with 'Jawan' directed by Atlee and with 'Gold' helmed by Alphonse Puthiren. Vignesh Shivan is gearing up to direct Ajith Kumar in the untitled project 'AK 62'.
