Watch: Chandramukhi surprises when Vadivelu in the dubbing studio!

The comedy king of Tamil cinema, Vadivelu, is back with his hilarious antics in the upcoming horror comedy film Chandramukhi 2. The makers of the film have released a dubbing video of the actor, who reprises his iconic role of Murugesan from the first part. The video has gone viral on social media, as fans are delighted to see Vadivelu’s comic timing and improvisation skills.

The dubbing video shows Vadivelu lending his voice for some of the scenes from the film, which also stars Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. Vadivelu is seen cracking jokes and laughing at his own dialogues, while also asking for ‘once more’ when he feels he can do better.

The production banner took to Twitter and wrote by unveiling the feel good witty video, "Dubbing atrocities  ft. our MURUGESAN aka Chandramukhi's Best Friend!  Chandramukhi Surprises Vadivelu as an unexpected visitor in the recording booth!", Reading the scenes, he says that he is Chandramukhi’s best friend even if the film goes up to Chandramukhi part ten. The video ends with a cameo voice of the famous Chandramukhi. 

The fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Chandramukhi 2, and have responded positively to the video. The film is directed by P Vasu, who also helmed the first part, which was a blockbuster hit in 2005. The film is a sequel to Chandramukhi, which was a remake of the Kannada film Apthamitra, which was also directed by Vasu. 

Chandramukhi 2 is produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran Allirajah. The film has music by M M Keeravani, cinematography by R D Rajasekhar and editing by Anthony. The film also features Radhika Sarathkumar, Srushti Dange, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar and Rao Ramesh in supporting roles. The film is slated to release on September 19, 2023, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

The makers have also announced that they will be releasing more updates and posters from the film in the coming days. They have already released the first look poster of Raghava Lawrence, who plays the role of Vettaiyan Raja, a psychiatrist who investigates the mystery behind Chandramukhi. Kangana Ranaut plays the role of Chandramukhi, a dancer in the king’s court, who was known for her beauty and dance skills.

Chandramukhi 2 is one of the most anticipated films of the year, as it marks the comeback of Vadivelu after a long gap. The actor was last seen in Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan, where he played a serious role of a Dalit politician. The actor received critical acclaim for his performance in the film, which is streaming on Netflix. With Chandramukhi 2, Vadivelu will return to his trademark comedy style, which has entertained millions of fans over the years.
