The buzz around Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Leo’ is already high, and fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the action thriller. But there is another project that has been making headlines for a while, and that is ‘Thalapathy 68’, which will be directed by Venkat Prabhu.
The film, which is expected to go on floors next year, has been surrounded by various speculations and rumours. One of them was that Ajith, the rival star of Vijay, would make a special appearance in the film. The whispers of an epic collaboration between two of the biggest names in the industry have been circulating, leaving fans buzzing with excitement.
The source of this exciting rumor from none other than Gangai Amaren, the father of Venkat Prabhu, who has expressed his fervent desire to see these two actors share the screen together. However, Venkat Prabhu has now clarified that there is no truth to this rumour, and he has no plans to bring in Ajith for his film with Vijay.
In a recent media interaction, he said that it was just his father’s wish, and he respects it, but he has not approached Ajith for any role in ‘Thalapathy 68’. He also said that the official updates about the film will come only after the release of ‘Leo’, which is slated to hit the theatres on Diwali this year.
Venkat Prabhu also revealed that he has completed the script work for ‘Thalapathy 68’, and he is very excited to work with Vijay for the first time. He said that the film will be a mass entertainer with his signature style of humour and twists.
He also assured that the film will satisfy both Vijay’s fans and the general audience. ‘Thalapathy 68’ is produced by AGS Entertainment, and it will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.
