Viral Update: Thunivu and Varisu get a new release date!

The first trailers for the upcoming films Varisu and Thunivu, which are both leads by major players in the Kollywood film industry, have just  released. Previously, it was announced that the release date would be on January 12th. They have now, in an unexpected turn of events, ticked in a new release date, which has been officially declared by the production houses.  Udhayanidhi Stalin's production house Red Giant Movies will be distributing Ajith's Thunivu and Varisu will be distributed by Seven Screen Studios along with Red Giant Movies.

Varisu, Vijay's first trilingual drama directed by Vamsi Paidipally, and Thunivu directed by H.Vinoth. On Wednesday night, Zee Studios who backing the Thunivu, shared the update by taking us to Twitter and wrote, "#Thunivu releasing worldwide in theatres - January 11th." On other side, Sri Venkatswara Creations shared the same, as they wrote, "#Varisu is releasing worldwide in theatres on Jan 11th Indha Pongal pakka celebration nanba #VarisuFromJan11"

The trailer for the action flick "Thunivu," which casts a noticeably negative light on Ajith's swagger, has raised expectations significantly. Now that it's been moved up to Wednesday, fans of both films are celebrating, but the box office battle hasn't changed. Ajith and Manju Warrier play the lead roles in "Thunivu," with Samuthirakani and other actors playing supporting roles. The movie has a score by Ghibran and was shot by Nirav Shah.

The two minutes, twenty-eight second trailer for Varisu, which was released yesterday, makes good on its promise to be a wholesome family film. The all-star ensemble cast of "Varisu," which stars Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead couple, also includes Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Shaam, S.J. Suryah, Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Sangeetha, Khusbhu, Samyuktha, and VTV Ganesh.
