Viral story: Double treat for Karthi fans...Sardar teaser is all set to have a historical launch!

Actor Karthi is marking a spectacular year in his cinematic career through back-to-back releases. After a decent run of his last movie 'Viruman', he is now gearing up for the release of Ponniyin Selvan in which he plays a crucial role. Interestingly, Karthi is also awaiting the release of his next movie 'Sardar' which will hit the big screens during this year's Diwali - on October 24. 

In what has become a double treat for Karthi fans, the teaser of Sardar is all set to have a historical launch. Though the teaser will get released on Thursday- September 29, it will be screened during the Ponniyin Selvan movie through which the fans can relish two avatars of Karthi from two different movies. It has been reported that the teaser is attached to Ponniyin Selvan and it will be screened during intermission. 

Karthi will be playing a dual role in Sardar - one as a cop. It will be his third movie to feature as a police officer after 'Siruthai' and 'Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru'. Sardar is directed by PS Mithran who is known for helming the movies 'Irumbu Thirai' and 'Hero'. A popular entertainment tracker took to Twitter and wrote, "Sardar, Karthi's cop story, teaser to be attached to PS 1 and screened along with it! Waiting!." 

Another interesting fact is that Sardar marks Hindi actor Chunky Pandey's debut in Tamil cinema and it also marks the comeback of popular actress Laila after 16 years. Sardar is bankrolled by Lakshman Kumar under his banner 'Prince Pictures'. While Karthi plays the lead role, Chunky Pandey, Rajisha Vijayan, Raashii Khanna, Laila, Murali Sharma, Munishkanth, and Ilavarasu will play important roles. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music and Sardar will be distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
