After directing Karthi in Viruman, director Muthaiya has begun helming his next project with Arya. Tentatively titled 'Arya 34', the shooting of the project was commenced with a pooja on Sunday. Viruman has earned positive reviews and he has started his next project in two months of Viruman's release.
As per the makers' announcement, the film's shooting has officially begun on Monday and the update was shared on social media. Arya was last seen in Captain, which was helmed by Shakthi Soundar Rajan and the movie has garnered mixed reviews. On Monday, Muthaiya took to Twitter and wrote, "Started shoot for my next with Arya brother."
Sharing the same, Arya wrote, "Started shoot for my next with Muthaiya sir and darling GV Prakash musical." While Arya plays the lead role, Siddhi Idnani, who rose to popularity through the movie 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu', will be playing the female lead in Arya 34. Arya is equipped to delight his fans with the new project in this genre, as Muthaiyah is known for his rural and family drama.
G.V. Prakash Kumar will compose the music for Arya 34, according to the update. While Veeramani is in charge of production design, Velraj has been brought on to handle cinematography. The rest of the cast and crew will shortly be revealed in full by the makers. Muthaiya is known for directing the movies Kutty Puli, Komban, Devarattam, and Viruman and he introduced director Shankar's daughter Aditi to the big screens in the latter.
