Actor Suriya has stopped by the spot, where the Malayalam movie 'Kaathal: The Core' is being filmed, to meet legendary actor Mammootty and Jyothika, who are playing the lead roles in the movie. Photos of him interacting with the crew members are going viral on social media. Suriya's wife Jyothika would be featured as a female lead and it is the first time she joined hands with Mammootty. 

Suriya has visited the movie sets in Ernakulam, Kerala. Helmed by Jeo Baby, Kaathal: The Core began filming earlier in October. As evidenced by the widely shared photos and videos, fans of the three big stars Mammooty, Suriya, and Jyothika are awestruck by this unexpected catch-up. In a different picture, Suriya can be seen chatting in the midst of a lunch with Jyotika and Mammootty. 

Actor Mammootty shared the picture with Suriya and said that he was happy to host the national-award-winning actor. The Malayalam superstar took to Twitter and wrote, "Happy to have hosted dear Suriya at the location of Kaathal: The Core." It is claimed that "Kaathal - The Core" is a light family drama. Paulson Skaria and Adarsh Sukumaran collaborated on the script for the movie. Actors Lalu Alex, Muthumani, and Chinnu Chandni also play important roles in the upcoming movie. 

Kaathal's screenplay was written by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria, and Salu K Thomas is in charge of the photography. The director of the upcoming historical drama "Kaathal: The Core," Jeo Baby, became well-known with the success of "The Great Indian Kitchen." 

Jyothika last made an appearance in the Era Saravanan-directed movie Udanpirappe. She made a comeback in 2015 with "36 Vayadhinile." The first look poster of Kaathal: The Core was unveiled on October 18, on the occasion of Jyothika's birthday. The movie is produced by Mammootty under his production banner 'Mammootty Kampany'.
