The makers of Leo kept the fans delighted few days earlier with a steady stream of updates on cast & crew and teaser, while they progressed the filming phase in Kashmir. Owing to the director and team being tight lipped about the shooting schedule, fans were pleasantly surprised to receive a picture of the master duo, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay posing with the entire crew in Kashmir. 

Taking to Twitter on Friday evening, Lokesh Kanagaraj dropped a picture where the whole crew share their big smiles with the director, Thalapathy Vijay and Gautham Menon. The film began on floors on January 2 2023 reportedly. The film also marks Vijay's collaboration with Trisha after 14 years. They lastly worked together was Kuruvi in 2009.

Leo is said to be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe following 'Kaithi' and 'Vikram' and the film's cast includes Vijay, Trisha, Priya Anand, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy, Mathew Thomas. Aniruth has been roped for composing the musical score. Manoj Paramahamsa handle the camera, Philomin Raj handles the editing. Seven Screen Studio bankrolling the high octane action flick, while Netflix bought the streaming rights while Sun TV bought the satellite rights.

The production of the film presumably cost around Rs 250 crore, and it has already made an astounding Rs 246 crore at the box office which includes Rs 150 crore from its digital rights, Rs 80 crore from its satellite rights, and Rs 16 crore from its music rights. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. This Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will be released on 19th October 2023 which revealed by the makers along with the title teaser release.
