Fans were thrilled with the audio launch event of Varisu, and it has evidenced the massive response from the fans ahead of film's release. Now everyone is waiting for the film's massive trailer to be released. Beginning the new year with a thump, Thalapathy Vijay is releasing his film Varisu for Pongal. Directed by  Vamshi Paidipally, the film will be a pure family-friendly film.

Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations is producing Varisu, and 7 Screen Studio backing up the film in Tamil Nadu. The current buzz in Kollywood is that the trailer for the film's theatrical release will be released on January 2, 2023. However an official confirmation regarding the debut will be made soon from the production house's side.

Varisu has Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady opposite the actor. Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Shaam, Srikanth, and Samyuktha Shanmughanathan plays important roles. Sun TV will air a New Year's Eve special tomorrow featuring the movie's glitzy audio launch ceremony.

Music for Varisu is by Thaman, which makes the first colloboration for the composer with Vijay. The film is a trilingual, which will be released as Varasudu in Telugu and Vaaris in Hindi. Cinematography is by Karthik Phalani and editing is by Praveen KL, and Dhilip Subbarayan has handled some of the stunt scenes.
