In a sudden development that stirred debate on the political stage, actor Vijay has been surfaced with heated speculations across the state after the reports, that asserted the actor has decided to enter politics, had flashed the headlines and the reports had highlighted what was called as the statement that the actor had moved his application to register the political party.
The reports had emerged at a high time when the state has been fast-approaching the assembly polls. The development from nowhere had triggered the speculations on whether Vijay is surpassing Rajinikanth in entering the politics and as the actor with immense stardom had recently met some of the members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam in Chennai, it had directed more expectations that he is entering the politics ahead of the assembly polls.
However, the reports that circulated on Thursday said that the actor had converted Vijay Makkal Iyakkam into All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam and he has moved his application to register it as the political party. It was reported that he had moved his application to the Election Commission to proceed further. When it had stirred strong debates across the state, Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar had come into the picture.
Amid having no direct confirmation from Vijay, SAC revealed that he was the one who moved the application to launch the political party under the name of All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. SAC claimed that Vijay had no knowledge about the move to launch the political party. Chandrasekar went on to say that Vijay Makkal Iyakkam has been active since the 1990s and he had moved to convert it as the political party to recognize the members of the outfit.
Chandrasekar stated that the political party doesn't belong to Vijay and the former had registered the political party and SAC had maintained that he can't tell whether Vijay would be entering the politics and leading this political party. The reports highlighted that the political party has been moved for the registration by mentioning Padmanabhan as the President of the political party, SA Chandrasekar as the General Secretary, and Shobha Chandrasekar (Vijay's mother) as the Treasurer.
When the reports had headlined across the state, SAC had spoken to the Tamil news channel during which he claimed that he is mulling to start the political party to recognize the members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. However, moments after SAC's statements, Vijay himself had come into the picture and issued a strong denial that he has no connection with his father's political party.
In what has become a fresh conflict between father and son, Actor Vijay had strongly contradicted his father and issued a staunch statement against his father and the actor had asked his fans not to join in the political party started by his father. In his official statement, Vijay had assured that he has no connection with the political party and asked his fans neither to join nor to get involved in the political party.
In a note of warning, Vijay had said that strict action will be taken against the people who are indulging in activities by using his face and the name of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. The reports say that Vijay Makkal Iyakkam has been managed by the actor and he has issued the warning, indirectly to his father, and pressed not to use his name or face in the political party.
SAC has been stating that Vijay will enter politics and will contest independently. However, the recent conflict had stirred speculations around the actor on his political stint. Vijay had also revealed that he was not consulted by his father when the latter had announced about the political party as the actor had stated that he learned through media that his father had started the political party.
