The health of Vijayakanth, a famous actor and the leader of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), has deteriorated and he is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. The respected leader has been suffering from cold, fever, and cough for the past few days and has been hospitalized for 14 days.

Now the veteran actor is facing a tough battle with his health. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, after suffering from a severe cold and cough that led to respiratory issues. His condition is not stable, and he requires pulmonary treatment to recover, the report says.

According to a medical report released by Miot Hospital, where Vijayakanth is undergoing treatment, his health is improving but not stable. “Mr. Vijayakanth’s health is improving. However in the last 24 hours, his health is not stable, and he needs help with pulmonary treatment. We hope he gets well soon. So, he needs another 14-day hospitalization to get recovered,” the report said.

Vijayakanth’s fans and supporters have been praying for his speedy recovery, who is fondly called as ‘Captain’ by his fans, Vijayakanth is a well-known personality in both the film and political fields. He has acted in more than 60 movies and has been the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016. He is the founder of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam.
