Udhayanidhi Stalin's next big venture with Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan...Any guesses?

Actor-turned-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin has joined hands with another actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan as the former unveils a big venture with the latter's upcoming movie 'Vikram'. As speculated, Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies has won the rights to distribute 'Vikram' in Tamil Nadu.  The movie has been slated for a theatrical release on June 3rd, 2022. 

Vikram has become Kamal Haasan's first movie after four years - after Vishwaroopam II. On Wednesday - March 30, Red Giant Movies took to Twitter and wrote, "Red Giant Movies is delighted to associate with Ulaga nayagan Kamal Haasan for the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution of Vikram." Through Vikram, Kamal Haasan is back to play after hosting Bigg Boss and in the midst of his political stint. 

Vikram has been made as an action thriller film and it is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan under his own banner 'Raaj Kamal Films International' while the movie is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who joins hands with Kamal Haasan for the first time. The release date of the movie was unveiled on March 14 on the occasion of Kanagaraj's birthday. 

Reacting after announcing the release date, Kamal Haasan wrote on social media, "I am waiting with bated breath for our 'Vikram' to release world over, in theatres on June 3rd, 2022." The shooting of Vikram has held for 110 days and it was wrapped up on March 2. Lokesh Kanagaraj had shared the special video from the last day of the shoot and some reports suggest that the Vikram movie will be released in May and it will come with the tag of one of the anticipated movies of 2022.

After the wrap, the director wrote, "After 110 days of shoot, it's a wrap. Thanks to the entire cast and crew for the extraordinary effort." While Kamal Haasan plays the lead role, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, Narain, Antony Varghese, Arjun Das, and Sampath Ram would play important roles.

Anirudh composes the music and Philomin Raj and Girish Gangadharan have done editing and cinematography respectively. Vikram has been made with a budget of around Rs 100 crore. On the other hand, it must be noted that Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies has also won the rights to distribute Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming movie 'Beast' in Tamil Nadu.
