In what has become an amazing combo for Tamil cinema fans, director Mari Selvaraj has turned heads for bringing together some of the big names in the industry for the first time under his direction. Mari Selvaraj is all set to venture into his third movie as the director after a blockbuster success of two of his movies 'Pariyerum Perumal' and 'Karnan'.

He had unveiled the poster of his new movie on Friday - March 4 and it has swiftly caught attention across and beyond the borders. His third movie has been titled 'Maamannan' and the posters have been going viral. While Udhayanidhi Stalin plays the lead role, Keerthy Suresh will play the female lead. The shooting has begun on Friday.  

For the first time, Mari Selvaraj and Udhayanidhi Stalin will join hands with Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman as he will be composing the music for Maamannan. Surprisingly, legendary comedian Vadivelu and Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will also be acting in the movie. It has become an amazing combo and fans are garnering good reception for the movie ever since the posters were released.

Unveiling the posters, Mari Selvaraj took to social media and wrote, "My third creation. Gratitude and love." Udhayanidhi Stalin had also shared the posters. AR Rahman said, "Glad to be part of Maamannan", while Keerthy Suresh wrote, "I am super grateful to work with such a brilliant team, starting from the revolutionary Mari Selvaraj sir, Namma Udhayanidhi Stalin sir, Nammude Fahadh Faasil, the one & only Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu sir, blessed to be working with the legendary AR Rahman sir once again." 

Actor Vadivelu, who became active on Twitter last June, wrote, "A new journey begins with Isaipuyal AR Rahman, dear brother Udhayanidhi Stalin, and dear director Mari Selvaraj." Besides playing the lead role, Udhayanidhi Stalin will also be bankrolling Maamannan under his banner Red Giant Movies.
