Viduthalai, the upcoming film from lauded director Vetrimaran, stars Vijay Sethupathy and Soori in roles they've never played on screen before, and is guaranteed to astonish and amaze moviegoers. Recently, the first single from the upcoming film Viduthalai was released, giving fans an early glimpse of what they may anticipate. Now the latest reports have the relishing update on the period drama's release date.
Vijay Sethupathi is rumoured to have a pivotal role as a teacher, and Soori plays a police officer. As per reports, the first installment will hit theaters on March 31. And the film's audio and trailer launch event are also expected to debut on March 8, according to insiders. However the official confirmation is yet to be made on the audio launch. The film will be a Pan Indian feature which is set to be release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Along with the leads, Bhavani Sre, Rajiv Menon, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon, Chethan and many others plays supporting roles. For the first time, Isaignani Ilayaraja collaborated with Vetrimaran on musical score, and the first single Onnoda Nadandha already stolen the fans' hearts. Interestingly, the entire movie was shot on an iPhone, which is used to reduce production costs, is another anticipating element to look out for the venture on big screens.
Viduthalai is adapted from the short story 'Thunaivan' written by Jeyamohan. While Viduthalai is bankrolled by Elred Kumar under his banner of RS Infotainment, the movie is distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Red Giant Movies'. While Velraj has done cinematography, Peter Hein has choreographed the action scenes. Major scenes of the movie were filmed in Sathyamangalam, Dindigul's Sirumalai, and Panrutty.
