The makers of ‘Maaveeran’, the upcoming action film starring Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar, have announced that the second song from the movie, titled ‘Vannarappettaiyila’, will be released on June 14, 2023. The song is sung by the lead pair themselves and composed by Bharath Sankar. The team shared a three-minute comedy video on social media to reveal this exciting news.

‘Vannarappettaiyila’ is said to be a peppy and catchy number that will highlight the storyline of Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar, who are making their debut as playback singers with this song. The video also features some behind-the-scenes moments of the recording session and the fun banter between the actors, director and the music director.

‘Maaveeran’ is directed by Madonne Ashwin, who rose to fame with his critically acclaimed political satire ‘Mandela’. The film is produced by Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies and has cinematography by Vidhu Ayyanna and editing by Philomin Raj. The film’s title was announced by Mahesh Babu on July 15, 2022, with a thrilling teaser that showed Sivakarthikeyan fighting a gang of goons with the help of a mysterious hand.

The film is slated to release in July 2023 in Tamil and Telugu languages. The first song from the movie, ‘Maaveeran Anthem’, was released on January 26, 2023, and received a positive response from the fans. The song was penned by Vivek and sung by Anirudh Ravichander and Sid Sriram.

‘Maaveeran’ is expected to be a high-octane action entertainer that will showcase Sivakarthikeyan in a never-seen-before avatar. The film also stars Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran and others in supporting roles.
