The pairing of Ajith Kumar and Trisha is one of the most popular on-screen pairs in Kollywood. They have worked together in 4 films so far, and the chemistry between them is unequivocal. Now, there are reports that the duo will be teaming up once again for AK 62. 

The film will be directed by Vignesh Sivan. If these reports are true, then we can expect to see some amazing chemistry between Ajith and Trisha on the screen once again. Vignesh Shivan is famous for his movies Poda Podi, Nanum Rowdy Than, Thaana Serndha Kootam, and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaathal. 

Trisha, who is relishing the success of Ponniyin Selvan 1, has been receiving more projects. Ram, The Road, and a few other titles are in her stash. It was rumored that she would also star alongside Vijay in Thalapathy 67. And if her collaboration with the ultimate star is to be believed, this will be their fifth project together after "Ji," "Kreedam," "Mankatha," and "Yennai Arindhaal." 

Before AK 62 begins production, the remaining cast and crew information is anticipated to be finalized by the end of December. Lyca Productions is handling the film's production. Anirudh is composing the music, and production will soon get underway. However, what this movie has in store for netizens, will be versed by the end of the year hopefully.

On the work front, Ajith awaits the release of Thunivu, which is the third film that the actor is working on with director Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor. Being made as a heist thriller, Thunivu also stars Veera, Samuthirakani, GM Sundar, John Kokken, and Ajay and it is produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with Bayview Projects LLP and the music is composed by Ghibran. It has been reported that after his project with Vignesh Shivan, Ajith will take a hiatus from the movie industry for a year and would venture into bike riding across the globe, visiting several countries and continents.
