In a major development in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo is that the film has completed its Kashmir schedule and is gearing up for its next schedule in Chennai.  The film will soon resume its next shooting phase, where it will welcome a new member to its already impressive cast. The Thalapathy starrer has already created a lot of buzz among the fans and has a surprise addition to its star-studded cast.

The latest buzz is that Fahadh Faasil with a string of critically acclaimed performances to his credit has joined the 'Leo' team and will be seen in a key role in the film. Fahadh had earlier dodged the questions about his association with the film earlier at the event, but the actor had remained tight-lipped about his involvement. But now it seems that it has been confirmed as per insiders' sources.

His presence in 'Leo' will surely add more excitement and intrigue to the film. 'Leo' is also speculated to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which connects the director's previous films 'Kaithi' and 'Vikram' and fans can now look forward to seeing him offer his A-game to the table. Soon it is expected to be made official by an update from the makers.

There are whispers that Karthi, who played Dilli in 'Kaithi', may have a special appearance in 'Leo'. This has further fueled speculations about whether 'Leo' will be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. If these speculations are true, then the gangster drama will be a treat for the fans of Lokesh Kanagaraj and his unique style of filmmaking, which he has brought to the trend.

The production of the film presumably cost around Rs 250 crore, and it has already made an astounding Rs 246 crore at the box office which includes Rs 150 crore from its digital rights, Rs 80 crore from its satellite rights, and Rs 16 crore from its music rights. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. This Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial will be released on 19th October 2023.
