According to unconfirmed sources, S.J. Suryah, the versatile actor-director, has been roped in to play one of the antagonists in the film, which is tentatively titled Thalapathy68. Directing the romantic blockbuster Kushi and starring alongside Vijay in the films Nanban, Mersal, and Varisu, S.J. Suryah and the actor have worked together extensively.
He has also proved his mettle as a villain in films like Spyder, Monster and Maanaadu. The latter was directed by Venkat Prabhu himself and was a huge hit. The sources also say that Thalapathy68 will feature more than one villain, and that discussions have already begun with other major actors to play the villains..
Vijay is currently shooting for his 67th film, Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Trisha Krishnan. The film is slated to hit the screens on October 19 this year.
