While Thalapathy Vijay is currently in the outing of what has tentatively been named as the Thalapathy 65, Kollywood is buzzing about Vijay's next project Thalapathy 66, which is now been unfolding about the storyline and an update of the possible remuneration of the actor. The developments reveal that Vijay is all set for yet another big journey with a big bag of salary. 

The significant surge in the actor's salary was made possible through his blockbuster hit 'Master'. With a grand opening for Master, the level of stardom has remarkably increased for Vijay across and beyond the borders. The movie had grossed over Rs 200 crores in the box office and after Master, Vijay has joined hands with Nelson Dilipkumar for the first time and he is currently busy with Thalapathy 65.

Thalapathy 65 is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures and music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. While Vijay plays a lead role, Pooja Hedge comes back to Kollywood after eight years through playing the female lead in Thalapathy 65. The movie would be an action entertainer for the Thalapathy fans. It has been expected that   Thalapathy 65 will hit the screens at this year-end.

With anticipations going around Thalapathy 65, Vijay will be joining hands with Tollywood director Vamsi Paidipally for his next, which has probably become a surprise outing for Vijay. Paidipally had faced a setback through his last movie Allu Arjun starred 'Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India'. The movie has failed to pay the expected outcome and it was a big surprise for Thalapathy fans that Vijay has joined hands with Paidipally for his next project after Thalapathy 65. 

Temporarily named as Thalapathy 66, the movie is going to mark Vijay's first-ever straight Telugu film. The reports close to the developments say that Paidipally is currently busy preparing the script. He is preparing an emotional action drama which is also going to have all the commercial factors. What more important is that Thalapathy 66 will be bankrolled by popular producer Dil Raju. 

Dil Raju has decided to make Thalapathy 66 a big one in budget and in the story. Dil Raju has risen to popularity by producing Pawan Kalyan's 'Vakeel Saab', which has garnered immense reception across and beyond Tollywood. Thalapathy 66 will be a bilingual project and Dil Raju has also decided to offer Vijay a 50% of the total movie's budget as his salary after Vijay has bagged huge remuneration in 'Master'. 

It was reported that Vijay has got Rs 80 crore as his salary for Master and Dil Raju, who is known for producing massive budget movies, has decided to go beyond Master's salary. As the total budget of Thalapathy 66 would be around Rs 160 crore, the Vakeel Saab producer has decided to pay around Rs 90 crore for Vijay as his remuneration for Thalapathy 66 and if it becomes official, it will be the highest remuneration for Vijay in his four-decades cinematic career. 

The salary would become a 'WOW' package for Vijay and it has been reported that the project will go on the floors after Thalapathy 65. Vijay-Vamshi movie will most likely hit the screens next year. The recent reports say that Vijay has asked the Thalapthy 65 movie team to stop all work due to the surge in COVID-19 cases and the movie team is yet to reveal who will play antagonist to Vijay. Some of the reports are highlighting that the movie team is approaching Bollywood's John Abraham to play the antagonist in Thalapathy 65.
