Yogi Babu was sent a cricket bat as a surprise from actor Vijay, who had been secretly observing him and was impressed by the actor's cricket skills.  Yogi babu is widely regarded as the best comedian working in the Tamil film industry. Vijay and Yogi Babu appeared on screen together a total of four times, including in the films Mersal, Sarkar, Bigil, and Beast. And Varisu will be the fifth film that the two of them will be work together.

On Saturday, Yogi Babu shared a picture of himself by taking to Twitter with the cricket gadgets he had been gifted, and wrote in Tamil,  "Intha bat aa enaku surprise a kodutha Vijay anna ku thankyou @actorvijay #thalapathyvijayyogibabu." Yogi Babu made his film debut in the Ameer starrer Yogi in 2009.

The next film in which Yogi Babu will appear on screen alongside Vijay is Varisu by Vamshi Paidipallly. The film is currently inching closer to the post-production stage. In addition to Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Ganesh Venkatram, Sneha, Meena, Khushbu Sundar, Sangeetha Krish, and others play significant supporting roles.

Ayalaan, Jailer, Andhagan, Sathuranga Vettai, Kasethan Kadavulada, and Oh My Ghost are just a few of the projects Yogi Babu is currently working on. His most notable roles included Love Today and Coffee with Kadhal. He also won fans' hearts with his film Mandela, which was directed by  Madonne Ashwin and honored with a National Film Award in July.
