Exactly a day after arriving in Chennai after wrapping up the shoot for his upcoming movie in Georgia, Thalapathy Vijay has on Monday paid tributes to deceased actor Padma Shri Vivek in the latter's residence in Chennai. Vijay has expressed his condolences to the family members of the departed actor, whose demise has poured incessant dusk into the Indian cinema industry. 

Padma Shri Actor Vivek was hospitalized on April 16th, 2021, in Chennai after he suffered a cardiac arrest and breathing discomfort. His sudden hospitalization has shocked the fans and fraternities and they extended their wishes for his speedy recovery. He was getting treated at the Intensive Care Unit and spelled to be in a critical condition. He was placed under ECMO support amid the prayers from the fans across and beyond the borders. 

However, in the wee hours of Saturday, April 17th, 2021, Padma Shri Actor Vivek had passed away at the age of 58. While the fans expected that he would walk out of the hospital, his demise had utterly saddened them and the entire film industry, and even the entire nation. His mortal remains were brought to his residence in Virugambakkam, Chennai, and kept for the public to pay homage. 

Several actors and fraternities of the Tamil cinema industry and thousands of general public had queued before his residence to pay their last respect. Political leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami, DMK President MK Stalin, and other leaders had paid their tribute and expressed their condolences to the family members. 

Honoring his contribution to the Cinema and selfless services to society, the Tamil Nadu government has cremated his mortal remains in full state honors. While most of the actors had paid their tribute at Vivek's residence, Vijay and Dhanush were missing as Vijay was in the shooting in Georgia for his upcoming Thalapathy 65 while Dhanush has camped at the United States for his upcoming Hollywood movie 'The Gray Man' directed by the Avengers fams Russo brothers, during the demise of Padma Shri Vivek.

Both of the actors couldn't able to come as they were out of their country and Vijay's mother Sobha Chandrasekar had paid tribute to the departed soul. As the shooting for the Thalapathy 65 was wrapped up recently, Vijay had prepared to return to Chennai. He has arrived in Chennai on Sunday and the visuals of his exit from the airport have gone viral on social media. It was expected that he will visit Vivek's residence and pay his tribute to the deceased actor. 

As expected, Vijay had visited late actor Vivek's house in the morning hours of Monday and expressed his condolences to the family members. Vijay's manager has confirmed that Vijay had visited Vivek's residence. The development has come a week after the demise of Vivek. Vijay and Vivek had acted together in 13 movies including the superhit movies like Kushi, Priyamaanavale, Badri, Shahjahan, Youth, and Thirumalai. Vivek had finally acted with Vijay in Bigil in which the former had appeared as the latter's assistant. 

Bigil was released in 2019 and Vijay is currently in the outing for the movie which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 65 which is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures and directed by 'Kolamavu Kokila' fame Nelson Dilipkumar. While Anirudh composes the music, Pooja Hegde plays the female lead. It's the first time that Vijay has joined hands with Pooja Hegde and as the shooting was wrapped up in Georgia, the movie team prepares for the next phase of the shooting and the fans expect that the movie will be released on this year's Diwali or in the early next year.
