For the ardent fans of Thalapathy Vijay, the next six days would be in a fashion of furore and speculations as they await a big announcement on Vijay's 47th birthday. Vijay will be celebrating his 47th birthday on June 22 and besides celebrating the star's birthday, the fans are in full expectation of a double treat to have a memorable birthday celebration amid the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. 

According to reports close to the developments, an announcement regarding Vijay's next 'Thalapathy 66' will be unveiled on Vijay's birthday. Currently, Vijay is in an outing with Nelson Dilipkumar for what has tentatively been named 'Thalapathy 65', and as the movie shooting has neared the conclusion, the fans expect that the first poster of Thalapathy 65 will also be released on Vijay's birthday. If all go well, the fans will be having a double treat on their favourite star's birthday.

Vijay has been an ace actor in the Tamil cinema industry and his birthday would be celebrated across the state by his fan clubs each year and in light of the pandemic, his birthday celebrations had stayed off from being a lavish occasion. His career has been growing at a sky-rocketing pace and after the blockbuster hit of 'Master', Vijay's global stardom has unprecedently surged. 

Currently, Vijay has been acting in Thalapthy 65, bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. The movie is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and while Vijay plays the lead role, Pooja Hegde plays the female lead and Yogi Babu and Aparna Das are playing the important roles. Anirudh is composing the music and while the first schedule of shooting has been completed in Georgia, the shooting is currently paused owing to the pandemic and lockdown. 

The fans expect the unveiling of the special poster of Thalapathy 65 and the announcement of Thalapathy 66. The reports say Vijay will be joining hands for the first time with Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally for Thalapathy 66. As Vijay will be debuting in Tollywood through Thalapathy 66, the movie's producer Dil Raju has decided to offer a huge package for Vijay as his salary. Dil Raju is a popular Telugu producer who bankrolls the movies under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. 

Dil Raju is famously known for producing prominent movies like 'Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', 'MCA' (Middle-Class Abbayi), and Pawan Kalyan starred 'Vakeel Saab', which recently got released and registered a blockbuster hit. As Raju brings Vijay into Telugu cinema, the reports say that the producer has decided to pay Rs 100 crore for Vijay as his salary for Thalapathy 66.

If it becomes official, it will be a huge one-shot remuneration for Vijay in his career. The reports further say that Dil Raju has paid Vijay a token advance of Rs 10 crore and the remaining amount will be paid to the actor after the movie hits the floors. It has been expected that Thalapathy 66 would begin the shooting next year.

Director Paidipally has been preparing the script with an emotional action drama which is also going to have all the commercial factors. On the front of Thalapathy 65, the movie team has initially planned to release the movie on the occasion of Diwali 2021. However, the COVID-19 lockdown is deferring the shooting and the reports say that the release date of Thalapathy 65 might get postponed to Tamil Year, April 2022.
