The young and sensational Telugu actress Krithi Shetty, who made her Tamil debut with The Warriorr, is all set to star opposite Thalapathy Vijay in his upcoming film tentatively titled Thalapathy 68. The film will be directed by Tollywood hitmaker Gopichand Malineni and produced by Super Good Films as their 100th movie.
Krithi Shetty rose to fame with her debut film Uppena and continued to captivate the fans with her performances in Shyam Singha Roy and Custody. She recently expressed her wish to act alongside Thalapathy Vijay in a promotional event for Custody. She also added that Trisha is her role model.
According to sources, Gopichand Malineni is determined to rope in Krithi as the leading lady of the movie. He was impressed by her acting skills and screen presence and felt that she would be a perfect match for Vijay. The actress is also keen to work with the Master star and has reportedly given her nod for the project.
Thalapathy 68 will be a bilingual venture in Tamil and Telugu and will mark the first collaboration between Vijay and Gopichand Malineni. The film is expected to be a mass entertainer with a strong social message. The shooting of the film will commence soon after Vijay wraps up his current film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Krithi Shetty is currently enjoying the success of her latest bilingual release Custody, directed by Venkat Prabhu, which hit theatres on Friday. With Thalapathy 68, she is likely to become one of the most sought-after actresses in both Tamil and Telugu industries.
