The latest buzz in Kollywood that is catching attraction is that after entertaining family audiences with drama genre hits, director Atlee and Vijay are reuniting for the fourth time and well-known Telugu production house, which gave us Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa: The Rise' is planning to take the movie on board. 

There hasn't yet been any confirmation of the rumour that Kollywood insiders have been spilling. Currently, both pretty folks are fully immersed in massive projects. Vijay and Atlee had previously worked in 2016, 2017, and 2019 for Theri, Mersal, and Bigil, respectively. According to media reports, Vijay will reunite with director Atlee for the latter's 68th movie. 

The movie, tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, is reportedly funded by the Telugu production company Mythri Movie Makers, which has worked on movies like Pushpa and Ante Sundaraniki. This movie could be produced in both Tamil and Telugu. After finishing his work for Jawan, Atlee will begin writing the script for the movie.  Atlee will finish the script and give it to Vijay as soon as possible.

The project is anticipated to get ongoing at the end of 2023. It's worth mentioning that the Mersal director is currently in high gear with Jawan, his first Hindi debut with Shah Rukh Khan, where Vijay will play a cameo role.  The actors' Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay attended the birthday bash of film director Atlee, and they posted a photo on Twitter with the caption "best birthday ever," which caused a smashing viral among netizens last month. 

Apart from Shah Rukh, Nayanathara will also feature in Jawan, produced by Gauri Khan, and presented by Red Chillies Entertainment. Jawan is set to hit the theatres on June 2, 2023, across five languages--Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada whereas, Vijay's Varisu will hit screens by Pongal 2023. Varisu is bankrolled by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations and helmed by Vamshi Paidipally. 

While Vijay plays the lead role, Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Khushbu, and Sangeetha Krish play important roles. Taman has composed the music and KL Praveen and Karthik Palani have done editing and cinematography respectively.
