The ardent fans of Thalapathy Vijay await a big surprise from the actor's next, which has been tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 66', after Vijay's massive salary package. Vijay has currently been in the outing of his upcoming movie 'Beast' helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The movie is on the floor of shooting and it has been going at a steady pace. 

Beast is in its fourth phase of the shooting in Chennai and after completing the Beast, Vijay will be joining hands with Tollywood director Vamsi Paidipally for the first time for Thalapathy 66. The movie will be bankrolled by popular producer Dil Raju and amid the ongoing shooting of the Beast, the team of Thalapathy 66 has been in the process of finalizing the cast and crew. Recently, the fans had gone agog through the update of Vijay's salary for Thalapathy 66. 

The reports close to the developments had said that Vijay would receive a salary of Rs 120 crore for Thalapathy 66, surpassing Rajini's salary of Rs 118 crore, which he bought for Darbar. With a whopping salary of Rs 120 crore, Vijay will become the highest-paid actor in India. If the movie gets succeeds, Vijay would be piling up his revenue in his upcoming movies and it would be of no surprise whether he asks over Rs 120 crore as salary for his future movies.

It must be noted that Vijay has got Rs 80 crore as his remuneration for his last blockbuster movie 'Master'. While the fans are rejoicing as their favourite star will receive the tag of India's most paid actor, they await a big surprise from Thalapathy 66. The reports in the know had revealed that Vijay fans would have double delight this month and it has been reported that the first single of the Beast will be released this month and along with that, an official announcement of Thalapathy 66 will also be unveiled in the fashion of serving back to back treat to the fans. 

Vijay is currently in the shooting of Beast in Chennai and the shooting has been progressing at a steady pace, giving the predictions that the movie will be released within this year. While Beast is produced by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner of Sun Pictures, the movie is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. While Vijay plays the lead role, Pooja Hedge is playing the female lead in the movie, and the movie will be having three antagonists against Vijay and one of them is expected to be prominent director Selvaraghavan. Anirudh is composing the music for Beast. The posters of the Beast were released on June 22 this year during Vijay's birthday.
