This Tamil Nadu MP has the worst attendance in the Parliament!

The official websites of both chambers of the Parliament had revealed that the MPs from the state of Tamil Nadu had recorded with lower attendance in the last two sessions of the 17th Lok Sabha and accounted for the similar laxity in the upper house, Rajya Sabha. The revelation shockingly indicated that the MPs have lower attendance than the national average.

State Rajya Sabha MP Anbumani Ramadoss of PMK party, which holds an alliance with the state ruling ADMK party, has recorded with the worst attendance of 15% while comparing to the rest of the state MPs in both chambers. The reports say that Anbumani was elected to the Upper house earlier this year and since being elected, he had reportedly participated in only two debates and he neither tabled a single question nor moved any private member bill.

Despite the recently concluded winter session had recorded with good productivity where Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament has reported with 116% of the productivity while Rajya Sabha, the upper house, has ended up with 99% by passing fifteen bills in total, the analysts have noted that the performance of the MPs and both chambers of the Parliament have been declining and the absence of the senior ministers during the discussions of the Citizenship Amendment Bill had revealed the reality.

The data had underlined that most of the Lok Sabha MPs of all parties have been discussing the state or national issues by ignoring the issues in their respective constituencies.
