Popular comedy actor Siva Narayanamurthy, who was 68 years old when he passed away due to illness, is best recognized for his supporting roles in the comedy tracks of Vadivelu and late actor Vivek. Siva Narayanamurthy is a well-known actor in Tamil cinema as he has appeared in over 300 films since making his debut in the film Poonthottam, which featured the actor Murali.

A popular film trade analyst took to Twitter and wrote, "Tamil comedy actor #SivaNarayanaMurthy (68) passed away. He appeared mostly in policeman or village chieftain comedy track along with Vadivelu or late Vivek. #omshanti" . Siva Narayan Murthy was known for frequently playing the part of a village man or a police officer in his performances.

Siva Narayanamurthy was first brought to the attention of the Tamil film industry by the late, legendary actor and director Vishu. The 67-year-old actor has garnered a lot of praise for his work alongside the actors Vadivel and late actor Vivek.  He is an accomplished actor who has previously worked with popular heroes such as Rajini, Kamal, Vijayakanth, Vijay, and Ajith. He had been sick for a few days before he passed away on Thursday, while he was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Chennai.

His family maintains Shiva Narayanamurthy's mortal remains at his residence in the Tamil Nadu district of Pattukottai. He is the father of two sons, Lokesh and Ramkumar, and one daughter, (Sreedevi) and survived with his wife Pushpavalli. It has been reported that his funeral took place in his hometown of Pattukottai tomorrow at 12 o'clock in the afternoon. His passing has been mourned by many in the film industry and by fans.
