In the midst of the prevailing digitization in hearings in the Indian courts, the Madras High Court has turned heads by conducting a hearing of a case through WhatsApp for the first time.
As the sequel of the outage, the trio of social media giants had relied on Twitter to update the users about the technical glitch and the progress made to fix it.
The advisory had urged the users of the application to update the latest version of WhatsApp from Google Play Store or iOS App store to counter the vulnerability threat.
The controversial privacy policy from WhatsApp had irked the Indian users and they have been staunchly flaying the messaging service of compromising the privacy standards.
The development puts WhatsApp to face more challenges amid its bid to clear the clouds of controversy and to claim that it is very clean in its privacy and security standards.
