The same judge, who came down hard on Vijay, has now kept the equal scale of condemnation to Dhanush for seeking exemption from paying entry tax for importing a Rolls Royce car.

Dhanush's plea will be heard by the single-judge bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday by Justice SM Subramaniam, the same judge who slapped the penalty of Rs 1 lakh on Vijay.

Hearing his petition on Tuesday, the Madras High Court has stayed the order pronounced by the single-judge bench that had asked him to pay the penalty.

Vijay has sought the directive from the High Court to repeal the fine imposed on him by the special bench and to remove objectionable comments against him.

Actor Vijay has on Friday moved a petition of appeal to challenge the high court's directive to pay penalty and to seek a fresh order to withdraw objectionable comments against him.

Vijay is also planning to seek a directive to repeal the penalty levied on him by asserting that he will pay the entry tax. 

Levying the fine, which is seen as a setback for Vijay, the court has highlighted that the actors who have a huge fan base are considered real heroes. 

The movie name and posters were unveiled during Vijay's birthday and ten days after the release of the posters, the shooting had resumed on Thursday, which rejoiced the fans.

The first phase of the shooting was held in Georgia and the progress for further shooting was paused in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions.
