The brothers, who own the production house Thirrupathi Brothers Film Media Private Limited, had issued a cheque of Rs 35 lakh to PVP, which bounced due to insufficient funds.

The director appealed against the judgement, but his plea was dismissed by the Madras Principal Sessions Court on April 12, 2023.

The case dates back to 2014, when Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose, who own the production house Thirrupathi Brothers, borrowed Rs 1.03 crore from PVP Capital Limited.
