It was decided at a meeting of the 'Union Federation of All Bank Employees', that a one-day nationwide strike would be held on June 27th.

However, the talks didn't advance for an amicable resolution, and owing to the failures of talks from the government, the unions have now announced indefinite strikes from Thursday. 

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has called on for the strike after the meeting with the Chief Labor Commissioner had failed to reach the consensus.
