The fans across and beyond the borders are celebrating the stupendous victory and CSK's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's brilliant knock, that drove the team towards a thrilling triumph.

The party which secures the majority mark of 92 seats would rule the state for the next five years. Several exit polls have predicted that BJP will retain its reign by recording a landslide victory.

The assembly polls in Gujarat will be held from December 1 to 5, 2022, in two phases to elect 182 members of its legislative assembly. The results will be announced on December 8.

For nearly three decades, BJP is ruling Gujarat, which is the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his loyal lieutenant, Union Home Minister Amit Shah. 

Though the victory has kept the team's position intact, it was a promising triumph as it has come when the defending champion was positioned at the end of the road. 

The transition has become a surprise for the CSK fans and through Jadeja's relinquishment of captaincy, MS Dhoni is now the captain of the CSK.

"As a batting unit, everybody did a good job. Robbie and Shivam batted brilliantly. The bowlers contributed with the ball as well", Jadeja said after the victory.
