She stated that this was not the ADMK the cadres wanted and added that the people who voted for ADMK aren't happy about what has happened today. 

While his elevation has inflamed the political turmoil within the party, it is pertinent to say that EPS is rising in the party in the fall of the party's late supremo J Jayalalithaa.

While addressing the reporters, Panneerselvam said that EPS and Munusamy cannot violate party bylaws and that they do not have the power to expel him.

The ruling DMK government has sealed the ADMK head office to curb further clashes inside the premises.

When July 11 was nearing, tensions were pervasive in the party and with a good audience to see his drama, EPS was planning to cement his base as strong as how it was for Jayalalithaa. 

While OPS and his supporters have sieged the party's office, the senior leaders in the EPS faction have come down hard on OPS at the General Council meeting, which passed the resolutions to contain the powers of OPS. 

EPS has acquired more power with the backing of the General Council and the resolutions for his political elevation were passed in the meeting that was held in Chennai on Monday- July 11. 

The nail-biting verdict has come at around 9 am when the meeting has been scheduled at 9.15 am, with several ADMK cadres had arrived in the venue hall in Vanagaram, Chennai. 

The top court has lifted all the restrictions on the meeting through which EPS can now bring the resolution supporting his leadership over his rival OPS. 

In what appears to be a friendly flay from EPS to OPS, the former has claimed that the latter's earlier letter is void.
