While MK Stalin's speech has spurred a fresh dispute between the BJP and DMK in the state, the Modi government has now released the GST due to Tamil Nadu.

Modi had held a roadshow as he was showered a rousing welcome in the city and thousands of people and BJP cadres had gathered on both sides of the road to greet the Prime Minister.

Narendra Modi's tour to Chennai has gained the spotlight as it is the first time that Modi is visiting Tamil Nadu after DMK came to power in the state. 

The former bureaucrats had noted that such hate politics are being practised by the governments under the BJP's control.

The Prime Minister's office said, "Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the mishap in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu."

It has now come to the revelation that Ilaiyaraaja has received summonses from the GST Chennai's unit for allegedly evading the service tax.

The man was arrested in Jabalpur and it has been alleged that he had mimicked and used abusive words against Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.

Tamil music director James Vasanthan has penned a scathing note against Ilaiyaraaja in which he asked what's his motive in hailing Modi on a similar scale to Ambedkar.
