The sentence had quickly drawn huge national attention and has come a week after the former Chief Minister was found guilty by the court. 

He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the evening hours of Friday at the emergency ward after he complained of fever and drowsiness.
