The makers are yet to reveal the names of the actresses, but sources say that they are in talks with some of the top names in the industry.

As Kamal Haasan had largerly bordered his political play within the state, his interest to join the national political race has become the talk of the town, blended with key speculations. 

The director is known for Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Sethupathi and Sindhubaadh. 

And sources say that the film will also star Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salmaan, who will play pivotal roles in the film.

The film's music will be composed by the maestro A.R. Rahman, who has collaborated with Maniratnam and Kamal Haasan in many successful films before.

However, the team resumed the shooting this time, and it developing to a great fanfare.

Marimuthu was also a popular face on the small screen serial Ethir Neechal. He was known for his natural and realistic acting style, which won him many fans and appreciation.

The film is rumoured to highlight the social cause of the issues faced by farmers. 

The director has already shot his portions in Hyderabad and will be seen sharing screen space with Prabhas, Kamal Hassan and Amitabh Bachchan, who plays the special and impactful role.

However, with the intervention of actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, who came on board as an additional producer, the film was revived and resumed shooting in September last year.
