The vast premises of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has been caught up with back-to-back tragedies over the suicides of students.
These deaths have allegedly happened due to the caste and institutional mayhems and have sparked a voice of dissent from within the institute as the students raged against the administration.
On Monday, Radhakrishnan, along with Chennai Zonal medical officer Dr Alby, had visited the institute and interacted with the students and the faculty.
Debsharma will be produced before a local magistrate in Kolkata on Monday to acquire the warrant of transit after which he will be brought to Chennai for further investigation.
