The Punjab Chief Minister will hold talks with Amit Shah to chalk out the efforts to reach an amicable resolution between the government and the farmers.

Trudeau has become the first foreign leader to speak out about the farmers' protest and his solidarity has come at a high time when the farmers are intensifying the protests.

Speaking at a rally at Varanasi on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the new agricultural laws have been brought in for benefit of the farmers.

The Prime Minister stated that the farmers and the country will see and experience the benefits of these new laws in the coming days.

Amid the episodes of clashes, the police and the leaders of the farm unions had reached a deal and permitted the protesters to rally peacefully in Delhi. 

The fleet of farmers comprises of men and women had broken down the barricades and measures installed by the police to stop them from proceeding further.

Ahead of Rahul Gandhi's arrival at the border, the Haryana government had deployed police forces at the border to stop the procession. 

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and said, "The agriculture laws are a death sentence to our farmers. Their voice is crushed in Parliament and outside".
