Besides serving as DMK's District Secretary of Namakkal, Veerappan has also served as the Rajya Sabha MP from Tamil Nadu from 1990 to 1996.

Chief Minister MK Stalin has led the campaign of celebrating his birthday and the party has been rolling out the events of providing welfare assistance to the people across the state. 

Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai has come up with a fresh attack against the DMK where he has vowed that he will be releasing two corruption files of the MK Stalin government soon.

Seeman's comments have come a day after Udhayanidhi had asked the party units to avoid passing resolutions to make him a minister.

The resolution was unanimously adopted as every participant in the meeting had backed Udhayanidhi's elevation as a minister.

In line with the ADMK, the Congress party hasn't disclosed its candidate for one seat that was awarded to the party by the DMK as part of the coalition deal.
