Leaving the experts to worry, these 9,500 cases have been declared cured and mapped under the list of recoveries against the guidelines of the government.
The ICMR further stated that most of the population still remains susceptible to infection and the country needs to implement the health strategy to deal with an inevitable increase in transmission.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, India has tested 5,40,97,975 samples so far including 11,63,542 that were tested in the last 24 hours.
With the current reporting of 991 cases, Chennai has recorded 1,45,606 cases so far of which 1,31,840 cases have been discharged and 2,921 had died of the pandemic.
