In total, the elections were held in nine districts for 27,003 postings, including 2,901 village panchayat presidents' posts and 22,581 village panchayat ward councillors.

The second list has 50 candidates across the state and so far as of Thursday, AMMK had announced the candidates for 65 constituencies including 15 candidates who were announced on Wednesday.

The ADMK had rejected the tickets to three sitting ministers - Baskaran, Valarmathi, and Nilofer Kafeel to contest in the assembly polls.
