The robbery has happened in the wee hours of Friday in Tuticorin and the culprits were arrested by the police in Namakkal on Friday night.

K Manickam was a member of the 15th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2016-2021 and as an ADMK MLA, he had represented the Sholavandhan constituency in the Madurai district.

Responding to the allegations, the DMK government had strongly refuted the charges and affirmed that no Amma Pharmacy shop was closed.

He has on Thursday moved an anticipatory bail petition to the Madras High Court after the police had filed two cheating cases against him under serious charges.

A cheating case was filed against Saroja this September that she had cheated to the scale of Rs 76 lakh with fake job assurance.

The strong comments from the High Court have come when the city and several parts of the state have been issued with a red alert and a warning of extremely heavy rainfall on November 10 and 11. 

Mani has been accused of swindling money from several people under the fake assurance of providing government jobs.

They had expressed disappointment over the deferment and sieged the electoral officer's car and demand the reason for why the election has been postponed.

On the other hand, the DVAC had also conducted raids on Friday in the places connected to former ADMK Minister C Vijayabaskar.

While Edappadi Palaniswami has been hospitalized in Chennai, his colleague O Panneerselvam has been receiving treatments in Coimbatore.
