Surprise announcement from 'Beast'...Is this popular director going to play antagonist against Vijay?

A massive announcement that came on Saturday from the Beast team has indeed thrilled the ardent fans of Thalapathy Vijay as they await a big treat from their favourite star after Master. The shooting for Vijay's upcoming movie 'Beast' is progressing further at a steady pace and in an unprecedented fashion in recent times, Vijay will be clashing with more than one antagonist in the Beast. 

On Saturday, Sun Pictures, which bankrolls the movie, has released the surprise announcement that popular Tamil director Selvaraghavan joins the cast of the Beast. It is for the first time for both Vijay and Selvaraghavan that they would be acting in the same movie. What holds more crucial is the strong speculations that Selvaraghavan will be playing antagonist against Vijay. The movie is being made with three antagonists who will be clashing with Vijay. 

Earlier, the team has roped in Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko as one of the antagonists. Tom has joined the sets for the third schedule of Beast and now the makers had unveiled that Selvaraghavan has joined the cast as a probable antagonist. It is for the first time that Selvaraghavan would play the role of antagonist and the recent update reveals that the movie is being prepared to serve unimaginable treat and twists for the fans and audiences. 

On Saturday, Sun Pictures took to Twitter and wrote, "Selvaraghavan joins the cast of Beast." In a series of tweets, the production house has also unveiled some of the important castes of the movie. While Beast is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner of Sun Pictures, the movie is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, who joins with Vijay for the first time. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and while Vijay plays the lead role, Pooja Hegde will be playing the female lead, and Yogi Babu, Aparna Das, VTV Ganesh, and Pugazh will be playing in the important roles. 

The shooting of the movie had begun earlier this year. The first two schedules of the shooting took place in Georgia and Chennai respectively. Currently, the team is shooting the third schedule in Chennai. The official title and the posters were unveiled on June 22 during Vijay's birthday and it has been expected that the movie may hit the screens by this year or would be released at the beginning of the next year.
