It is the electoral countdown in the state of Tamil Nadu as both of the rival Dravidian parties started to play the game of political accusations and critics to flag their respective victories in by-elections of two legislative constituencies as the victories have indeed termed as the prefix of 2021 state legislative elections. Despite of having no influence on the current assembly as the victories will add the numbers to the parties, both ruling ADMK and its rival DMK had camped their massive strength on the campaign trail.
While the state goes for two by-elections, Nanguneri constituency in Tirunelveli district has been on the the headlines which has been sailing with electoral controversies and encroachments between the parties and their campaign grounds have been getting tougher with just one day left for the elections. By recapping the preceding by-elections in the state that were pictured with the mixture of heating campaigns and shocking allegations, Nanguneri has been consistently recording with series of conspiracies where on October 12th 2019, the constituency's electoral officer Natesan had dispatched about 30 electronic voting machines to the district collector office without letting the political parties know. After the revelation, the district administration had said that they had acquired the voting machines from the constituency to train the electoral officials who will be on the duty during election day.
On the other hand, the local cadres and the party men of the ruling party have been lowering their involvements in the campaign by citing that they have been intentionally ignored by the state ministers who had deployed their own supporters in the constituency and they had accused the party's leadership for rejecting the candidature of party's well known local face Manoj Pandian and our credible sourced had said that the parties have been hosting tug of war towards acquiring the vote bank of local community people.
Amidst their active presence in the trail, both Dravidian parties have been staging their allied parties on the grounds to reach more people and while DMK's allied Congress party had seen the support of the alliance, ruling party ADMK had accounted for the crack among its allied parties as one of the allied party of ADMK, 'Puthiya Tamilagam party' had pulled off from the alliance by accusing the ruling party on failing to recognize the local villagers in scheduled list where by citing this cause, villagers of 65 villages had collectively announced that they will boycott the by-elections after which they had opposed ADMK government on the campaign where the government had arrested the people that had oiled the crack with a major quake.
After having been witnessing negative grounds of the campaign from the break down of the alliance to the heated controversies and accusations from the people, the ruling party ADMK has been diminishing from the possible victory that was inevitably enhanced the chance for the party's rival DMK and its alliance adding to that, DMK hopes to cultivate the votes from Muslim and Christian communities.
Our sources had revealed that, by ensuring to flag the victories, the ruling ADMK has been distributing Rs 2000 per vote while its rival had set a target of providing Rs 1000 for every vote and the ruling party had reportedly dispersed the cadres to rain the voters with money while the police department was engaged in providing security for the state Chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami who had toured the constituency that had clearly shown that the ruling party has been unleashing all the possible means to overrule the victory chances of opposition parties.
